START TODAY! IT'S SUPER SIMPLE — IF YOU CAN CHECK OFF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA THEN YOU'RE READY TO JOIN OUR APPRENTICESHIP ACADEMY.
At least sixteen (16) years of age and have completed the 10th grade or its equivalent
Valid ID (Driver License, school ID, any foreign government identification, etc...)
Social security number (SSN) or individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN)
Commit to working a minimum of 32 hours a week under a licensed barber or cosmetologist at an approved establishment (beauty salon or barbershop)
Pay the required deposit
Demonstrate passion and dedication (most importantly)

At Five Star Academy, we believe in being passionate and motivated. These are two of the most important qualities to possess when it comes to our barber apprenticeship. While we can help teach you skills and give you the knowledge and experience you need to become a professional artist, we believe it’ll be much harder to find success if you’re not motivated and passionate about our industry. A good foundation is critical when it comes to starting a career in barbering or cosmetology.
